    History

Mended Inc. was born from a dream in 2012, launched as an unconventional Mother’s Day program in 2015, and officially established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2017.

Founded with love by Tierra Banks—a fellow traveler on the path to self-healing and mother-daughter reconciliation—Mended Inc. exists to help women break generational cycles, repair fractured relationships, and reclaim emotional freedom.

    The ReMothering Project: Community Edition

Same healing. Shared cost. Big love. We believe all women deserve the opportunity to mend their relationships—regardless of financial status. Thanks to the generosity of our funders and partners, we provide sponsored coaching, empowerment groups and enrichment programs for women & girls facing economic hardship.

Help a Mother & Daughter Heal

    Programs & Services

Me, Myself & Mom: Highschool Enrichment Sessions

Your relationship with your mom or female caregiver is the blueprint for how you’ll show up in every other relationship you have—with friends, teachers, partners, and eventually, your own children. But let’s be honest—it’s complicated. Me, Myself & Mom creates a brave space for teen girls, ages 14+, to unpack that relationship without judgment, understand themselves more deeply, and navigate this stage of life with greater clarity, confidence, and compassion.

    Participants will gain:

    • A deeper understanding of their current stage of development (and why they’re feeling all the feelings)

    • Insight into how their relationship with mom or maternal caregiver shapes their communication and trust with others

    • Tools to express themselves clearly—even when the conversation is hard

    • Confidence to set boundaries without guilt or shutdown

    • Emotional skills that support healthier relationships at home, in school, and in their future

    • A supportive circle of peers who get it and a guided path toward healing, not hiding

Want to bring this to your school, community, or organization?
    Let’s talk

Mend & Ascend: Rising Above the Pain of the Past

This six‑week program is your emotional glow‑up—complete with tissues, sisters, and zero pretense! Specifically crafted for women ready to heal those pesky “mother wounds” and rise in power, it’s your personal journey to reclaiming yourself by reconciling how your relationship with your mom or maternal caregiver shaped who you became. It’s all about self‑discovery, emotional decluttering, and choosing—realistically— how you want to show up for yourself and others.

Over six impactful 2‑hour sessions, you’ll journey through our signature three‑step process:

    • Discover: Identify and unpack how your mother wounds have influenced your emotional blueprint, beliefs, and behaviors.

    • Recover: Process and move through emotional grief, acknowledge your truths, and gather practical relational tools to heal and reset patterns.

    • Reconnect: Reclaim and redefine your identity apart from past wounds, set intentional boundaries, and decide—on your own terms—how you wish to engage in relationships moving forward.

Led by a certified mother‑daughter coach, this experience is equal parts heart‑healing, eye‑opening, and (dare we say) fun—you’ll laugh, cry, and realize that healing means stepping into yourself fully and unapologetically. By the end, you’ll be equipped to build healthier relationships—starting with the one you have with you. And if you’re pondering a deeper dive into mother‑daughter coaching next, consider this your golden ticket!

    Ctrl+Alt+Dlt: The Mother-Daughter Reset

Ctrl+Alt+Dlt: The Mother-Daughter Reset is a 10-week coaching experience helping mothers and daughters (16+) reboot their relationship, clearing emotional malware to reclaim connection and harmony. Think of it as a full-system upgrade for your emotional software—finally removing what’s crashing your bond and installing healthier, lasting dynamics.

Guided by our signature Discover, Recover, Reconnect framework, you’ll:

    • Discover: Scan your relational history to detect hidden emotional malware—those mother-wounds, unresolved pain points, and communication glitches sabotaging your connection. You'll pinpoint exactly what's causing the crashes in your interactions and gain clarity about your emotional programming.

    • Recover: Perform emotional troubleshooting by processing grief, practicing forgiveness, and establishing fair, realistic boundaries. Clear your emotional cache, creating room for empathy, accountability, and healing on both sides.

    • Reconnect: Install a new relational operating system, intentionally coding your interactions with mutual respect, trust, and authentic communication. Rewrite your relationship blueprint, deciding realistically how you both choose to show up—for yourselves and each other.

This isn’t just emotional healing—it’s relational tech-support for generational change. Laugh, cry, and celebrate your way through your personalized upgrade as you break unhealthy cycles and establish a vibrant, virus-free bond.

Ready to reboot? Let’s hit Ctrl+Alt+Dlt and transform your relationship from glitchy to genuinely connected.

    Gallery of Dads 7-26-25

Last year we hosted our highly successful inaugural exhibit SEEN, where we depicted the mother daughter connection through art.

This time it's all about DADS

The School of Transformation, a collaborative between Judge Dawson & our founder Tierra Banks, invites you to the second installment of SEEN. Join us as we honor and highlight fathers in our community through a curated photo exhibit and intimate dialogue that showcases their emotional, mental, and spiritual presence in their children's lives.
